A pencil lead is a slender, cylindrical core inside a pencil that leaves marks on paper when applied with pressure. Despite the name, pencil “lead” is not made of the toxic substance lead but is primarily composed of a mixture of graphite and clay.
The core of a pencil, often referred to as the “lead,” is composed of a combination of graphite and clay. The ratio of graphite to clay determines the hardness or softness of the pencil. Higher graphite content results in softer leads suitable for dark, smooth lines, while a higher clay content produces harder leads for lighter, more controlled markings.

Pencils are graded on a scale from “H” (hard) to “B” (soft), with “HB” being a middle point. The hardness or softness of the lead affects the darkness and texture of the marks it makes on paper.
Pencil marks are often erasable, making them a preferred choice for draft work. Pencil erasers, typically attached to the end of the pencil, are made of a soft, rubbery material that effectively removes graphite marks from paper.

Ideally, the raw pencil lead is used as the core writing material in the mechanical pencil.

Our new BS-8891 Flexi magnetic planner sheet is a monthly planner and comes in full colour, with white as the background. The planner is made of high quality material and its sheet size is slightly bigger than A3 size. The thickness is about 0.7mm, very flat and is not noticeable when attached to the ferrous surface.
Each of the sheet is individually packed in a re-usable PVC bag. The magnetic planner sheet has white background and colour text and lines with no border. The white background is suitable for writing either with a whiteboard marker (can be erased) or even with a permanent marker (in which case, you do not want those to be erased). The magnetic sheet will stick to any ferrous-based surfaces and it can also be easily removed.
