#8292  A3 Metal-Base Guillotine Paper Cutter

The Guillotine paper cutter or guillotine cutter in short uses a shearing action between 2 metal edges to cut through a stack of paper. Normally a sharp lever arm (cutting blade) with a proper holder, pivoting on the base, where one can lift up and then push down with ease to slice through the stack of paper. Paper is place on top of the flat surface of the sturdy metal base, aligned and then cut. Just below the cutting blade, attached to the metal base, is the other piece of metal that provide the shearing action of cutting the paper. There are no sharp edges.

On the metal base itself, usually rectangular, are alignment grid for precision positioning, commonly using a dual scale system of metric and imperial measurements, to assist with measuring and accurate cuts. In some cases, the stack of paper is held down by a so called Compressor bar before the actual cutting action. There is also a paper guide bar, usually magnetic, for use with more accurate placement of the paper. The heavy metal base is usually attached with rubber studs to provide non-slip operation.

Our 8292 A3 Guillotine Paper Cutter come with a metal base, attached with non-slip rubber stoppers, with clearly printed metric measurement 1-cm apart on both horizontal and vertical sides. This sturdy guillotine cutter is equipped with a magnetic paper guide bar which is movable, a fixed top bar and an auto Compressor bar. All of these are designed for accuracy and aids in more precise positioning and cutting.  The cutting length is from B7 size up to A3 size (97mm to 420mm). The cutting blade can be locked away when not in use for safety purpose. Also, all 3 sides of the metal base have chamfered edge to prevent any accidental cut from the metal. Metal base is spray-painted and coated with a thick coat of paint. Quality, precision and ease of use is the key to cut precisely what you want to cut.

Be it reports, legal documents, meeting notes, research papers or business plans, technically this can be accomplished by anyone using a simple binding machine, together with plastic combs or steel wire-O type. Once done, they can be neatly put away or stored.

The CB200 Binding Machine is designed with a heavy and sturdy metal base for firm operations. Four rubber studs at four corners provide non-slip operations. It has a punching capacity of 12 sheets of 80gsm paper with a maximum binding capacity of 420 sheets using a plastic comb of 51mm diameter.

The machine is used to punch and bind A4 size or smaller size paper documents. The Adjustable Edge Guide on the left side, together with the printed guides on the metal surface top easily assist to position the paper alignment and provide for accurate hole punching each time and everytime. Hole punching is effortless with the U-shape large metal handle. A Depth Plunger Device in front of the machine helps to measure the thickness of the paper put in to be punched. On the right side of machine, near the back, a Depth Margin Slider allows for the depth margin between the edge of paper and the hole to be punched to be adjusted to suit different diameter of the comb used. A built-in storage tray is used to collect waste paper.

The binding process is very simple:

• Adjust depth margin using Depth Margin Slider on the right hand side
• Make adjustment using the Adjustable Edge Guide to align for paper size used
• Punch one piece of same size paper to determine correct settings of steps 1 & 2
• Punch all stacks of paper as required for the volume, including covers & dividers if needed
• Determine the size of comb to be used, dependent on number of sheets and grammage in the volume
• Put plastic comb in position and crank open the plastic rings with the U-shape metal handle
• Insert stack by stack in order, aligning the holes and the fingers, release handle to complete binding process
